Heddon’s Gate Hotel, ExmoorA celebration of good food |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
At Heddon’s Gate we take great care with the sourcing, preparing and serving of our food. We believe that our mealtimes should be a celebration of good food. Our cooking is unpretentious: the ingredients should speak for themselves. Naturally, we source locally whenever possible. Most of our farmed meat comes direct from two farms within a twelve-mile radius of the hotel, whilst most of our game is from the Torridge district of Devon. Most of our fish is landed at Ilfracombe and Appledore. Our chocolate (for desserts and as truffles to accompany after-dinner coffee) is supplied by a Swiss chocolatier in South Molton. A list of a selection of our suppliers appears at the foot of this page. Our dinner menu is limited-choice, and changes completely each night of your stay. Below you will find links to a couple of sample dinner menus, as PDF files.
